...This picture  represents perception in the way that different individuals may perceive this picture differentWhen looking at the image, you are able to see two things; a woman and an old lady. In my own perception. I am able to see  the old woman however to some of the students in my class, the picture appears to look like a young lady. Perceptions vary from person to person. Different people derive different meanings from the same situation. Depending on how you looked at the image, part of it may have been the young woman's nose and eyelash, or it might be a wart on the old woman's nose - it all depends on the eye of the beholder. This is similar to the poem's by Walt Whitman and Langston Hughes  because the picture represents how everyone has a different outlook on a certain  person, place or thing; just like in the poem I hear America singing and I,Too, Sing America. The two different men had completely different outlooks on america.
