... The slide show presentation reflects the first part of my tapestry theme because it shows how  we are able to discover the world  through the perceptions we have created based on our survival on earth. We do not so much picture what’s out there, but we create a world of perception from past experiences. When we open our eyes, we are seeing a world we have  spent a lifetime learning to see. How we were brought up and raised changes our views on certain matters and alters our perceptions on our way of living, which is described in the slide show.  Depending on the different factors that impact our life, even the smallest changes can influence our perceptions in the biggest ways. Our brain is able to interpret that, and thus our perception changes. For instance, in the slide show it says, " you see with your brain .  That brain sits in total darkness. It can’t see anything. It receives electrical signals, but that’s all. No pictures. No light. No colors. It has no screen to serve as a view finder. You the sculptor create colors, dimensions, brightness, and all the awesome beauty of the visual world."(slide 10) This shows how our brain follows our perceptions of the world.
Sometimes the perceptions we have created can cause controversy and conflicts between people because we may assume they see the world the same way as we do. However, each and every individual will have a different outlook on life which may cause our judgments to lead to negative actions. For example the war was caused  because different people believed the world should be run in different ways, this may be based on  their past experiences.
